What is going on?

Hello, wonderful readers! How are you doing today? I hope everyone's day is going great!

I want to start by discussing what's happening globally. I'm not sure if you've noticed or if it's just my news feed, but it seems like there's a lot of anger and frustration among people.

I'm not here to judge how anyone should live their life, but I have noticed more people expressing their frustrations onto others. Are we simply fed up with others taking advantage? Have we, as humans, lost faith in humanity? Or is it that everything and everyone around us encourages us to prioritize ourselves and our own well-being over the collective good?

Recently, I watched a video that I probably shouldn't have, as it was extremely violent. It begins with what appears to be a collision between two cars on the street. The driver of the front car exits, jumps onto the car behind, opens the driver's door, kicks the driver, pulls him out, and starts beating him. The second driver doesn't even defend himself. You might expect someone to intervene and help, but instead, bystanders gather around and start assisting the attacker, joining in the assault. I didn't see the video's conclusion, but it was undoubtedly brutal and distressing.

I began reading the comments and it seems the driver who was beaten had attempted a hit and run. The other driver was so enraged that he pursued him until he caught up, and, well, you know what happened next. I can understand feeling angry and frustrated if someone hits your car and tries to flee, but taking it to the extent of nearly killing the man by beating him indicates there are unresolved issues.

This is just one example of the violence that is escalating daily. I'm unsure who to hold accountable—whether it's the government, social media, school education, the dehumanization of people, trauma, the drift from spiritual beliefs, selfishness, superiority complexes, work, money, globalization, distancing from nature, or the fast-paced lifestyle. I recognize there are countless factors, but I strongly believe it largely relates to a loss of hope and the decline of spirituality among people.

I truly think that as humans, we are somewhat adrift. We need more love and inspiring music. What happened to songs like "Where is the Love" by the Black Eyed Peas, which aimed to raise awareness about our humanity, or TV shows like "Touched by an Angel," which offered hope to people? Nowadays, everything seems focused on sex, guns, violence, drugs, fleeting love, and determining which gender is superior. We've lost balance in our lives.

We indeed require more individuals who inspire us, leaders who guide us to improve and believe in ourselves, parents who nurture their children, and teachers who direct their students. Most importantly, we must abandon our sense of superiority, our belief that we are better than others. We need to cease attempting to prove who is stronger and perhaps demonstrate more kindness.

I am not suggesting we change the world, but perhaps if we begin in our own neighborhoods, with our friends and families, love might gradually spread. Try to believe in something greater than yourself; if you are an atheist, then do good for your own sake, because it is the right thing to do.

I truly wish we could encounter more kindness and love around us! Take care, everyone, and remember that even a smile can transform someone's mood for the day!
