The Why Behind Cecy’s Universe

Hello, my beautiful dreamers! Here I am once again, back on my blog, working to build a community of dreamers, believers, and people who want a better world. The idea for my blog came from my simple desire to write; I have always loved it, and with today’s technology, it is so much easier to get your voice out there—even if it reaches just a few.

Cecy’s Universe isn’t just a world about me; it’s a space for like-minded people. While I do share my own experiences and what I’ve learned from them, I know there are people out there who have lived through the very same things or are currently navigating similar seasons. This Universe is about finding the positive within the negative and trying to understand the "why" of things, even when there doesn't seem to be an answer.

To reach more people, I decided to create a podcast because, believe it or not, that’s something I’ve enjoyed since I was younger! I actually studied mass media communications, but as most of you know, I chose the travel industry instead—spending years at sea as Cruise Director’s Staff and then as Activities Manager. Now that I am back home, although I have a job, I have some free time to dedicate to this project. I truly love it; it gives me an escape from the daily routine.

I believe the podcast and the blog complement each other perfectly. On the blog, you can read at your own pace; on the podcast, you can listen while you’re busy running errands or simply unwinding.

I deeply appreciate the private messages and comments you send me. They’ve helped me reconnect with long-lost friends, and the support means the world. It’s also wonderful when someone shares my stories on Instagram without me even asking—so to those people, thank you for not being embarrassed!

I’m not going to lie: getting everything up and running was something I wanted to do back in 2020 when the world stopped. I started the blog and made a few videos on Instagram, but I lost consistency and headed back to the ships in 2021. Beyond that, I can be a bit shy, and sometimes insecurities get the best of me.

I tend to worry most about what close friends and family might think. My mind whispers, "What do they think when they see my stories promoting my podcast or blog yet again?" That doubt has kept me from uploading videos in the past. But let me tell you: nobody has ever said anything negative to me. It is just my mind playing tricks, and I know it.

I’ve come to the conclusion that I will keep doing what I do—not to impress anyone, but because I genuinely love it. I love seeing the countries and cities where people tune in from. Even if I don't have a massive audience, I have an amazing one. My hope is that my stories can entertain you, give you a little break from everyday life, make you feel understood, and welcome you into this Universe.
